The Utica Shale play is driving job creation and billions of dollars of investment in Ohio. Last year in Ohio, over 38,000 jobs were supported by unconventional gas and oil activity, a number expected to increase to 143,595 in 2020 and to 266,624 by 2035. And, companies across the state are tapping into the shale industry that is growing in eastern Ohio, and benefitting as part of the supply chain.
Come learn what to expect as the shale play moves forward, and about the opportunities and challenges the shale play presents for your region. This forum will give an update on the Utica Shale play; address job and supply chain opportunities; describe how and where Ohioans can find training though local schools and colleges and the building trades; and, explain the stringent regulations that protect our communities.
