Parma Ridge branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library celebrates Teen Read Week Oct. 14-20, 2012 by daring to Read For the Fun of It! Sign up for some goulish teen programs this week:
Mummy Science - Monday, October 15, 2012 from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM Investigate mummification with Susannah Hamm, the library's Science & Technology Specialist. Explore the concepts of osmosis and desiccation, which make mummification possible. Learn how the ancient Egyptians preserved their dead. Mummify an egg to take home! For kids in grades 5-12.
Papertoy Monsters - Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 from 4:00-5:00 pm. Make your very own papertoy monster. Vote for your favorite monster fiend for a chance to win a prize. For 5-12th graders.
Parma Ridge Teen Book Club - Thursday, Oct. 18, 4:00-5:00 PM. Title of the book will be announced and may be picked up at the reference desk at the beginning of each month. All participants must have a signed release form by a parent/legal guardian to eat snacks at the program. For kids in grades 6, 7 and 8.
